Moving Forward with Grief

Hey all... Cara from the Online Team here. I was a bit inspired by the "Dumb Arse Things People Say" thread, to start the convo here about grief, and perhaps what others told you to expect when your loved one died, and in the time since.

There's a great TED Talk by Nora McInerny (her husband died from brain cancer), where she talks frankly about how grief never goes away; you never "accept" it. Instead, it changes you, and your loved one continues forward with you into your future.

You can check out the video here: ted.com/talks/nora_mcinerny_we_don_t_move_on_from_grief_we_move_forward_with_it

What do you think? What have people said to you about grief? And what have you discovered is true for you, in the midst of it?
